A Mentally Disturbed's Two Meditations on His Behaviour

Poetry · English

1)

When, or if, on a dark day
in my metaphysical life,
I decide to go, or stray,
to the woods of my fears,
I am often in every way
harshly confronted by
the things I say
and they,
since they are spoken by me,
violently object against and
terribly disagree
on the matter of ever being
spoken again by me.

2)

I should seriously consider
doing something 'bout my doings.
From at the back of my suspicions
I can feel the people talking.
Oh, if only they could know
about the curse that I have over me.
If only they could realize
that I have to live with this.
'My fellow-men, how great your ignorance.
Do you not see my innocence,
that you're revolting against God-given acts?
I have sinned and are therefore doomed
to eternal disbehaviour.'
