Caught Up in My Dreams

Poetry · English

I live upon my dreamland, seeking all but reality.
I like my unrealistic dreamland, this is the place to be.
Flying, floating, flaking, flaunting - up and down and left and right.
Carried off to who-knows-where, laughing, playing, featherlight.

I live upon my dreamland, enjoying every day.
I like my days in dreamland - come along if you may.
Dancing, dozing, deepened in decoding, sitting, standing, lying down.
Sleeping, waking, never faking, looking grim without a frown.

I live upon my dreamland - get me out of here!
I do not like it anymore - my heart is filled with fear.
I'm drying, drowning, choking, poking - every direction unknown.
I'm melting away into an awful sight: reality - flesh and bone.
