Under the Tree
I have just fallen out of the tree
completing the blanket under me.
I was created by God - and no other.
I have no brothers, no sisters, no mother,
Still I've been looked after, been taught and been fed -
Now that I've finished I'm supposed to be dead.
White winds and black clouds
blew me away.
Blue skies and red rain
surrounded me all day.
I did not mind and I did not care -
I've always had the sun and the air.
As you walk by you might pick me up
but mostly you'll just let me be.
Remember, human, (for you need me)
that you must keep praying for my peers on the tree.
